Problem
Restaurants need to take orders, get them to the kitchen and get paid — fast, during the busiest hours, and with the payment methods their customers actually use. Most of that still runs on paper and memory, so orders get lost between the floor and the kitchen, and owners only learn what they earned at the end of the day.
What I built
GebetaLink is a SaaS ERP for the hospitality industry that brings the floor, the kitchen and the money into one system:
- Real-time order routing — orders go straight from front-of-house staff to Kitchen Display Systems.
- Hybrid payments — Chapa, Telebirr and CBE built in.
- Financial analytics — automated profit-and-loss reporting for owners.
I founded the company and led the whole product lifecycle, from Figma prototypes through deployment and onboarding each restaurant.
How it works
The app is built with Next.js on the front end and Node.js with MongoDB behind it. Socket.IO keeps every screen in sync: when a waiter places an order, the kitchen display updates instantly, and status changes flow back to the floor the same way. Payment confirmations from Chapa, Telebirr and CBE update the order, and feed the P&L reports.
